SIGNATURE OF HIS SON U.S. GRANT JR. WITH INSCRIPTION. This lot includes a boldly signed card from U.S. Grant with the word "General," underneath. The card is blank on the opposite side and shows evidence of being taped or glued into a book. The lot also includes a signed note, dated "27 Oct 1927", signed "U.S. Grant Jr." with an interesting message referring to Mark Twain and Christopher Columbus. CONDITION: the General Grant card, though glued on the reverse, shows no ill effects on the front. The card is very slightly yellowed with a tiny loss to the lower right corner. The note from U.S. Grant Jr. is slightly yellowed but very easily read. (02-23298-3/BF). $800-1,200.
