Lot 6 Browning Superposed 12 Ga #83796

Belgian made Over/Under box-lock shotgun chambered for 3" Magnum 12 Gauge shells manufactured circa 1960. Imported by Browning Arms Company out of St. Louis, MO & Montreal P.Q. Shotgun features a blued finish, approximately 30" vent ribbed barrels, the fixed choke barrels are marked 'Full' on the top and 'Modified' on the bottom, automatic ejectors, steel bead front sight, single smooth gold-toned curved inertia trigger, tang mounted serrated sliding barrel selector and safety, and a checkered top lever. The receiver, top lever, and trigger guard have a 'Grade 1' engraving pattern displaying limited coverage of floral and scroll engravings with edge designs. The high gloss walnut furniture consists of a round knob gripped shoulder stock with checkering at the wrist, sliding checkered forend with deeley latch release, 14" length-of-pull, 1-3/8" drop at comb, 2-1/4" drop at heel, and a brown Browning ventilated rubber recoil pad with black and white spacers. The original blued finish retained is approximately 99% with superficial blemishes. Metal displays no rust, or deformation. The walnut furniture looks very good with minor handling marks, thinning finish, and a few scratches. Bores are bright and shiny, and the action opens slowly under its own weight with a very good lock-up, and the top lever stands right of the tangs centerline.
