REVOLVER. Cal. 36. S# 172765. Mfg. 1863. Fit with a 7.5" bbl with 1-line New York address. 6-shot round cylinder with Naval scene and good cylinder pins. "COLTS/PATENT" marked frame. Brass straps. 1-piece walnut grips. Matching numbered bbl, wedge, arbor, cyl, frame, straps, & grips. Unnumbered loading lever. CONDITION: Overall very good. Bbl retains approx 70% thinning original blue. Loading lever retains small amounts of the original case coloring in the protected areas. Cyl finish has faded to a grey patina with very nice cylinder scene intact. Frame finish has faded to a lightly mottled grey patina. Straps have a small amount of remaining silver in the protected areas of the trigger guard. Grips have some scattered moderate dents and edge wear with some hand wear.
