RIFLE. Cal. 30 WCF. S# 39561. Mfg. in 1895, 2nd year of production. Bbl. 26" round. Replacement bead front with original style express rear sight & "Climbing Lyman" receiver sight missing eye piece. Blue finish with case colored hammer & lever. Button mag. Replacement forend & hard rubber capped pistol grip stock of XXX fancy walnut. Features include style "H" checkering, crescent steel buttplate and Winchester sling eyes. Left inside of the lower tang is marked with assembly # "5541" followed by wood grade marking "XXX". Buttstock underneath buttplate stamped "94 / 5037" w/ 4 punched out numbers". CONDITION: bbl. & action retains over 70% dull blue showing edge wear & light spotting. Lever & hammer have over 70% case colors. Refinished wood shows scattered handling marks. Checkering is recut. Forend exhibits some back & forth play on the mag. tube. Sound action.
