^Lot 1565 WWII GERMAN CROSS IN GOLD WITH ORIGINAL CASE.

A very nice example of a WWII German Cross in gold with its original presentation case. The Cross has a central black enameled Party symbol on a silver field surrounded by a gold wreath on red enamel, all encompassed by an eight pointed black rayed star with a silvered border. The reverse has 4 rivet construction with a wide pin stamped "20" on the underside indicating manufacture by Zimmerman. The black case has a patterned black interior base with a cream colored silk/rayon top pillow. CONDITION: The black enamel has a couple of minute chips and the silvered field is a bit mottled. Gold wreath and red enamel show light wear as does the surrounding star. The reverse shows wear and tarnish. The box has light wear with slightly heavier wear ti the interior.
