Anti-aircraft tripod mfg. in West Germany for use with the MG42 / MG3 GPMGs (General-Purpose Machine Gun). Side of tripod retains an original label from the Army Maintenance Plant 850 indicating refurbishment on "27.6.84". Maintenance Level not marked. Exterior exhibits a green painted finish, with several parts / components exhibiting a blue finish. Tripod features retractable cupped spiked feet, as well as an OD canvas shoulder strap and retainer strap. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their arsenal green painted exterior, exhibiting scattered superficial marks from handling and storage. Feet exhibit some minor flaking. Blued parts show some wear and scattered spots of light surface oxidation. Ring below mount shows moderate pitting. PROVENANCE: Military Museum Collection of Shooters Outpost, Hooksett NH.(02-27722/MLW). $300-500.
