CARBINE. Cal. 30 WCF. S# 1433485. Bbl. 20". Model 94 lever action rifle mfg. by Winchester following the conclusion of WWII, circa. 1946-1948. Left side of the bbl. exhibits standard markings denoting Winchester's mfg. information, as well as the model and cal. designations. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Period custom plain tiger maple forearm and straight grip buttstock with aluminum carbine style buttplate. Ramped and dovetailed blade front sight, with Marbles blank in rear sight dovetail, and receiver mounted Lyman No. 56 adj. aperture rear sight. Distinctive flat forward bbl. band. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning fading to gray patina in contact areas and scattered superficial handling marks overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting some scattered spots of light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows some scattered superficial marks from handling and storage, with the buttstock exhibiting a crack stemming from the buttplate on the right, with hairline cracking present on the left.
