Straight 35 1/4" single edge flat back blade with 25 1/2" fuller terminating with a double edge for the final 9 3/4". The blade is fine line engraved with a branch of floral vine, a capped man, and a clutched scimitar on both sides. Iron hilt with a down curved quillon that terminates with a bulbous finial; solid deep checkered shell counter guards, thumb ring, branching bulbous knuckle bow and side bar, finishing with a . Wood grip base is not wrapped. Twisted brass wire Turk's head knots. Onion shaped pommel has a peened pin securing the hilt. CONDITION: The blade engraving is very clear and well cut. The metal is lightly mottled with a pleasing silver patina. Grip base is cracked from shrinkage. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of Nicholas Apergis (02-24747/ZAL) $1200-1800
