^Lot 5372 ASIMER WEBER OF ZURICH PERCUSSION TARGET RIFLE.

Cal. 45. This early Swiss target rifle is fitted with a 33", part octagon bbl with hooded beaded post front sight, "ASIMER WEBER A ZURICH 1854" makers mark inset with silver, large foliate scroll engraving at the tang, and rosette engraved screws. The tang has a mounted base with disc aperature target sight. The hammer and lock are engraved en suite with the matching large scroll and border line engraving. It is stocked with a large butt target 1/2 stock with a relief carved large foliate scroll pattern at the wrist, German silver engraved arrow side plate, hooked schuetzen style buttplate, sling stud, & inset silver oval plaque with the inscription "Totl Bruppacher / in / Weidenschweil". Double set triggers. CONDITION: Overall good as refinished. The bbl has been reblued with good coverage, filled rear sight dovetail and having some scattered handling marks. There is some silver missing from the address. Stock has been lightly sanded and refinished. The lower hook of the buttplate has deep old cleaned pitting. Bright bore with some rifling wear.
