Lot 5273 CIVIL WAR GAUNTLETS & HAVERSACK.

1) A white cotton private purchase Civil War style haversack measuring approx. 10" x 12" with a 22" shoulder strap. The front flap has two button holes that are closed with two matching mother of pearl buttons. CONDITION: haversack shows general light wear and staining with no major issues. 2) A pair of leather gauntlets of a type and style known to have been used in the Civil War. Originally the gauntlets were tan leather (now darkened) with sewn edges and fingers. According to a tag the gauntlets were found in a Port Orange, FL estate. CONDITION: gauntlets show significant overall wear, but remain solid. (02-27198/BF). NON-GUN. $800-1,400.
