REVOLVER. Cal. 44. S# 27727. Bbl 8" round with semi-circular front sight. Round six shot cylinder. Blued finish with case colored hammer and loading lever. Major parts have "C" or "D" inspector's initials. Walnut one-piece grips have cartouches both sides. About 32,000 mfg. 1863-1865. CONDITION: frame retains 60% fading blue. Bbl & cyl have largely faded to gray. Original grip finish shows wear & handling marks with small chips around the butt. Properly functioning action. The bore is generally bright with sound rifling showing small spots of light pitting. (01-29381/DS). ANTIQUE. $2,000-2,750.
