Cal. 44. S# 104440. Bbl. 8" octagon has visible threads. Blade front sight. Round 6 shot cylinder has safety notches between nipples. Screw type front sight. Low spur hammer. Blue finish with brass trigger guard. Major parts have "D" or "W" inspection initials. Two-piece walnut grips with a lightly visible cartouche on the left panel. About 122,000 mfg. 1863-1875. CONDITION: action & cyl. have over 75% lightly faded blue. Bbl. shows 20% faded blue. Grips show wear with marks and dents. Tight sound action. Bore retains very good rifling. (01-29389/DS).
