Lot 5060 JESSEE ANSLEY'S REQUEST FOR PRESIDENTIAL PARDON

JULY 1865. Rare July 28, 1865 autographed letter by Jesse A. Ansley, principal in Rigdon & Ansley revolver manufacture to President Andrew Johnson requesting a pardon stating he was little involved in war "did discharge some duty as ordnance officer". This is wonderful addition to any Confederate revolver collection of a rarely offered signature of any principal manufacturer. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Receipt and check paid March 3, 1987.
