Cal. 31 S# 216616. Bbl 4" octagon with bead front sight and New York address. Round 5 shot cylinder has Stagecoach Holdup Scene roll engraving. Blue & case colored finish with Silver finished brass grip straps. Bbl, frame, grip straps, loading lever, wedge & cyl. have matching numbers. One piece walnut grips. Mfg. 1862. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: antique wood case has blue cloth replacement interior. Case contains; powder flask, 2 cavity bullet mold & cap tin. Both box & interior show heavy wear, left hinge is broken loose from the lid. CONDITION: 40% bbl blue showing scattered marks & small dents. Traces of case colors on the frame. The cylinder has fade to gray with 30% lightly visible scene showing numerous small dents. Original grip finish shows scattered marks having a small chip at the toe of the left panel. Functioning action. Bore has strong rifling with some very light pitting. (01-29374/DS). ANTIQUE. $1,750-2,500.
