Cal. 31. S# 13004. Bbl 4" octagon without loading lever. Bead front sight. Top flat has two-line New York address. Five shot round cylinder has rectangular stop slots. Brass square-back trigger and backstrap were silver plated. One piece walnut grip. Colt's first pocket model revolver, total of approximately 15,000 mfg. 1847-1850. CONDITION: metal finish has faded to brown with general light pitting and small dents on the frame. Cylinder has only traces of scene remaining with numerous dents between stop slots. Grip straps retain over 30% silver finish having a dark tarnish. Action is slightly out of time. Some screws are replacements. Lightly pitted bore retains good rifling. (01-29377/DS).
