Standard configuration of model 1865 saddle ring carbine, 20" barrel, manufactured without the stabler cut off device and never modified. 30,000 of these carbines were manufactured by Burnside rife company 1865-1866, most seeing service in the Indian Wars. CONDITION: very good overall, complete and original, gray metal, good markings. Mechanics fine, crisp rifled bore. (01-28751/JS). ANTIQUE. $800-1,200.
