REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Mag. S# D80-26099. Bbl. 7 1/2" with serrated blade on ramped base; factory frame mounted adjustable rear sight. Mfg. 1971 (1959-1973) as Model S47 having eagle logo near barrel address (with "INC."). Standard features of wide spur hammer, wide serrated trigger, unfluted counterbored cylinder and Dragoon style grip frame having walnut grips with black eagle medallions. Does not have factory safety update parts; original lockwork. References state 800 made with "D80" prefix where "D" indicates a duplicate number; D80-12345 in 1969 and the balance in 1971. (#D80-25435 to D80-26234). Dimpled ejector rod head. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: August 28, 2023 dated letter from Bobby Tyler (owner of Tyler Gun Works of Friona, TX) who is well known by Ruger collectors for his association with Ruger (special editions and custom gunsmithing) stating this revolver was from the Bob Baer Collection (also of Texas). CONDITION: some very faint handling marks on right grip; all other aspects near excellent including bore. (26-1072/NW). CURIO. $750-1,000.
