Cal. 357 Mag. S# S304259. Bbl. 4" pinned. Ramped serrated blade front sight. Adjustable square notch rear sight. 6-shot recessed cyl. Late 1960's production 28-2 revolver. Left side of frame marked "G.S.P." likely for Georgia state police. Revolver has had sideplate replaced with a clear plastic section turning into a cutaway. Blued finish with case colored hammer & trigger. Checkered walnut grips with mismatch numbered right panel & silver S&W medallions. CONDITION: grips show some staining, light dings & handling marks. Hammer & trigger retain strong traces of case colors with overall fading to gray & some light oxidation. Balance of metal retains 92% original blue with scattered edge wear. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Bright near excellent bore. PROVENANCE: From the Lifetime Collection of Malcolm Zickler, Ret. USAF Lt. Col. (26-507/MJC). CURIO. $500-800.
