ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 220 Swift. S# 59072. Mfg. 1947; Transitional era rifle has mix of parts including replacement Pre 64 bolt & "Super Grade" floorplate. Stainless 26" bbl.; "52" dated. Filler in front dovetail & plug screws for target base. Lyman 10x Wolverine All-Weather post reticle scope (S# 1042) on Redfield rings & bases. Type I receiver with cloverleaf stock tang, wave matting over chamber, additional D&T on rear bridge, "SUPER GRADE" marked hinged floorplate. Non-matching number on bolt sleeve has Pre-64 safety. Standard checkered walnut stock w/ checkered steel buttplate. Brown leather sling on swivels. CONDITION: very good original finish on replacement barrel with handling marks. Very good original blue on receiver. Very good original wood finish with numerous handling marks. Bottom metal showing fair fading original blue with peppery oxidation & marks. Very good rifling. Scope has good fading finish with serviceable optics. (26-1390/MD). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
