FROM THE CHINA MILITARY WAR LORD ERA 1912-1928. This Japanese 1st class order of the Golden Kite is an early sash order from the military war lord era that ran from 1912 to 1928. The order was instituted in 1890 by Emperor Meiji and awarded for bravery, leadership or command in battle. This award has a large polychromatic enameled star with a blue cross and a pair of 5 color flags. There is a full large sash ribbon with a bow at the end. CONDITION: the medal has two very tiny chips to the yellow star and the ribbon is a bit faded. (02-25828-9/BF). NON-GUN. $1,500-2,500.
