Cal. 7.62x54R. S# KW4237. Bbl. 24 5/8" with muzzle brake. Standard SVT-40 sights. Matching numbers on receiver, trigger guard, left side of stock & bolt parts. A couple parts appear renumbered to match in an unusual fashion. 1943 made Tula SVT-40. Varied receiver markings have added highlight paint. Arsenal rework type blue finish. Hardwood stock set with "A" marking, Tula style star & bottom mounted sling swivels. Cleaning rod present. MAGS: 1-10 rd. that appears unnumbered. CONDITION: refinished stock set shows a few repaired cracks, a plug repair on right side of action, scattered dings, handling marks & staining. Handguard is loose & right side of heat shield has a notable gap. Metal retains 97% arsenal rework type blue with scattered handling marks, light edge wear & blued over pitting. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Very good bore with frosting & light pitting but strong rifling. PROVENANCE: Military Museum Collection of Shooters Outpost, Hooksett NH. (26-2328/MJC).
