Lot 2410 WWII GERMAN UNIFORM, COAT & PANTS FOR A TYROLEAN

LOCAL MILITIA. This fascinating uniform group includes a heavy green wool tunic with a 6 button front and 4 flap pockets. The uniform does not have shoulder boards, but has green Private collar tabs with the right one having "3" and the left one showing a single pip. The left sleeve has a diamond shaped patch with a red eagle on a Party symbol that reads "STANDSCHUTZEN BATAILLON INNSBRUCK". The right sleeve has an Edelweiss patch. Interior of the coat is partially lined with black cotton. The group includes a heavy sage green wool overcoat with a double breasted 4 button front and green collar tabs with a single pip. The left sleeve has a diamond shaped patch similar to the left sleeve of the tunic except this example has "III" at the bottom. The overcoat has 2 flap pockets and plain shoulder straps. Interior is stamped "LAGO 1943". Lastly, the group includes a pair of heavy wool trousers that match the cloth of the tunic. Trousers have a 3 button fly along with suspender buttons at the waist. There is 1 flap pocket on the back along with slash pockets on each side of the front. CONDITION: tunic shows light wear overall, as does the overcoat.
