TRAINING RIFLE. Cal. 22LR. S# 11871. 24" bbl. Bbl marked behind front sight "SA / flaming bomb / ? 42". Rifle is marked on receiver ring "CAL. .22 M2". Nickel steel bolt. Lyman 48 adjustable aperture rear sight with early small knobs. Slide is graduated to 125 points. Redfield globe front sight with aperture insert. Walnut stock is marked on the right side with partially boxed "OG" indicating an arsenal overall at Ogden Arsenal. Fine checkered trap buttplate. Bbl band with swivel. MAGS: 1 detachable 5-rd marked "M2". CONDITION: stock has moderately worn arsenal rework finish with numerous handling marks throughout. Notable plier marks ahead of buttplate tang. Metal retains 80% of its arsenal rework Parkerized finish with notable wear and small tool marks in area of front sight. Good shiny bore with lightly worn lands. (26-75/RW). CURIO. $700-1,000.
