Cal. 22LR. S# 17280. Bbl 24". Marked behind front sight "SA / flaming bomb / 7-42". Lyman 48 rear sight with early style knobs. Sight base and retaining latch are matching. Blade front sight with protective hood. Receiver markings include "CAL. .22 M2". Polished nickel steel bolt marked "M2". Walnut stock with grasping grooves. Stock is marked on the left side in cheek area with boxed "S.A." indicating overhaul at Springfield Armory, and circled "P" under groove in grip. Coarse checkered steel buttplate without trap. MAGS: 1 detachable 5-rd marked "M2" on left side. CONDITION: stock has very light arsenal rework finish leaving a good appearance with scattered handling marks and notably a small filled area on left side over magazine well. Metal retains 90% of its arsenal rework parkerized finish with very light high point wear. Very good shiny bore. PROVENANCE: From the Lifetime Collection of Malcolm Zickler, Ret. USAF Lt. Col.
