GUN. Cal. 45 ACP. S# 452120. Bbl. 10 1/2". Blade front sight. Stamped sheet metal aperture rear sight. Iconic WW2 M1A1 Thompson submachine gun. Left side of receiver has "AO-44" rebuild mark with "GHD" & faint US Ordnance wheel inspector's stamps. Top of receiver marked "US PROPERTY" behind rear sight & with Thompson logo ahead of it. Lower is of Savage mfr, while upper is of Auto Ordnance mfr. Arsenal quality reparkerized finish. Walnut stock set with partially faded "AA" Augusta arsenal rebuild stamp on left side of butt & bottom mounted sling swivels. MAGS: 1-30 rd. made by Crosby Co. CONDITION: stock set has a sanded appearance with a small light chip at rear right of forend, the expected dings & handling marks of a military arm. Metal retains 98% US arsenal quality reparkerized finish with some light toning on the high edges, a few light handling marks & scuffs from the years. Action functions properly when hand cycled.
