Lot 157 Johnson Model 1941 Semi-Automatic Rifle

Johnson Model 1941 Semi-Automatic Rifle, #B3900, 22" barrel, .30-06 cal., re-blued finish, walnut stock, blade front sight with ears, and adjustable rear peep sight. A commercial leather sling is included. Receiver is marked "CRANSTON/ARMS/CO." in a triangle on the right rear, with patent dates next to "CAL. .30-06 SEMI AUTO/"JOHNSON AUTOMATICS"/MODEL OF 1941/MADE IN PROVIDENCE RI. U.S.A./B3900" on top. The unmarked barrel displays scattered light pitting near the front section. The re-blued finish is approx. 85%+, with wear on the buttplate, and the receiver markings are light. Unmarked stock was sanded and has a nice appearance, but there is a crack on the bottom from the back of the magazine to the front of the trigger guard. Buttplate tang is stamped "2424". Action functions smoothly but the hold open is not working. Bore is primarily bright; rifling is shallow but clearly visible. Est.: $3,000-$4,000. (C&R)
