The Ultimate Alaskan Big Game DIY Float Hunt from Takco Outdoors

This hunt is offered for one hunter, up to 10 days of hunting, for August of 2028, and is for caribou, bear, and wolf hunting only. Second hunter must be added for $12,500. 50% of the second hunters balance will be due at the time of scheduling the hunt, the remaining 50% will be due no later than Jan 1st of the year your hunt is scheduled. This hunt can also be upgraded to September 2028 hunt for $750 per hunter, which will also allow this hunt to be extended to 14 days. Additional days can be discussed with Takco at the time of booking. Fuel surcharges may apply for 2028.

experience, we will recommend the proper area for you. This hunt is priced as a 2-person hunt, others can be added through consultation with Takco Staff at their current prices. At Takco, we believe in quality over quantity and not overcrowding rivers to give you ample time to harvest your animals, so let's have a conversation or two and ensure this is the right trip for you!
A full list of all your trip requirements based on our firsthand knowledge will be provided, including gear recommendations, final packing checklist, along with who, how, and where to handle your meat, and trophy information is also provided. We will also assist you in the scheduling of your travel to and from AK and give our best recommendations.
Trip includes your float gear along with one flight into your starting point, your exit flight back to Fairbanks, and 1 meat flight which will handle 1 moose or 4 caribou.
For 2027 our hunts also include lodging at a house that also allows access to two deep freezes for cooling meat, so you don’t have to worry about finding a hotel! This package includes 3 nights of lodging, 1 on the front side, and 2 on the back side. If additional nights are needed, they will cost you $175 per night per person.

Any additional meat flights are paid by the hunter at $4,500.00 per flight and paid directly to the pilot at a time of need. Not included are your commercial flights to Fairbanks, meals, permits, locking tags and additional gear you need for your trip.
Current regulations permit the taking of 10 wolves, 2 Caribou, and 1 moose per hunter.
