Lot of 3 German style helmets, including: 1) German WWII era civic helmet. Helmet exhibits a reapplied black painted finish and features a brown leather liner. No visible markings are present. Rear 2 rivets are absent. CONDITION: helmet remains the majority of its reapplied painted finish, exhibiting areas of pitting, with a crack and chipping present along the rear edge of the rim. Liner remains malleable, with the liner having torn free at the forward left rivet. 2) Reproduction German WWII M40 style helmet. Helmet exhibits a green painted exterior, with remnants of decals, as well as an additional rivet present on either side. Unidentified leather liner (marked "57") and chin strap, with leather pad added at the top of the dome. No markings are present. CONDITION: helmet exhibits scattered marks and chipping from handling and storage, with scattered spots of oxidation. Liner and pad remain malleable, exhibiting light wear and some crazing overall. Chin strap has stiffened in some areas. 3) Reproduction German WWII M40 style helmet. Helmet exhibits a gray painted finish, with traces of decals present on either side. Contemporary leather liner and chin strap. Helmet is unmarked. CONDITION: helmet shows scattered marks from handling and storage, with some chipping and oxidation present around edges. Leather liner and chin strap remain malleable, showing some light wear. (02-26127/MLW). NON-GUN. $200-400.
