Lot 1579 2 RUSSIAN MADE SHASHKAS FOR THE PERSIAN MARKET.
1) An Imperial Russian M1881 Shashka for the Persian market measuring 38 1/2" overall with a 31" single fullered blade showing Persian markings at the ricasso. Simple brass hilt with Persian marking on the pommel and a diagonally reeded wooden grip. Iron scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a gray patina and the hilt has a mellow mustard patina. Grip shows light wear.
