KNIFE.1) SPRINGFIELD M1880 HUNTING KNIFE. These were provided to soldiers as a companion tool for life on the frontier during the Indian Wars. This has the serial number 4399 on the brass crossguard. It is accompanied with an original scabbard that is marked Waterville Arsenal on the brass belt hook. CONDITION: blade edge has a could of dings and mild blunting with some spots of old patinaed oxidation. Grip has some scattered handling marks and a couple of chips in the pommel area. Scabbard has some crazing, scratches and handling marks. 2) DUTCH M1871 BAYONET. Produced for the Beaumont rifle. CONDITION: fair with oxidation.3) UNMARKED SOCKET. Looks to be a trapdoor style bayo. CONDITION: excavated condition. (02-25443/ZAL). NON-GUN. $300-400.
