^Lot 1465 PORTUGUESE STEYR 1886 KROPATSCHEK BOLT ACTION

RIFLE. Cal. 8mm. S# GG161. Bbl. 32 1/4". Blade front sight. Ladder graduated to 2200m. Matching numbers on right sideplate, left side of butt & right side of bbl. Bolt parts are mismatched. Kropatschek infantry rifle made by Steyr. Blued finish. Hardwood stock set with bottom mounted sling swivels. Both sides of butt have very faint acceptance markings. Ramrod present. Both rear band & ramrod are lose & can move freely. CONDITION: sanded stock shows a synthetic putty repair at toe, a crack around stock bolt on left side, scattered staining & handling wear. Metal shows overall fading, edge wear, oxidation & some pitting. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Bore shows a few patches of pitting but strong rifling. (01-28946/MJC). ANTIQUE. $300-500.
