Lot 1457 INTER-WAR STENDA BEHOLLA SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL.
Cal. 7.65mm. S# 61228. Bbl. 2 7/8". Beholla semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Stenda between 1918-1925. The top of the slide is marked "STENDA 7,65" at the rear. Left side of the frame is marked with a horizontal Crown/N commercial nitro proof, which is repeated on the slide and bbl. Base of front grip strap is marked "GERMANY". Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece "ST.W" checkered horn grips. Fixed half-moon blade front sight with integral V-notch rear sight. MAGS: x1 7-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain fair amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that are fading to gray and brown patinas, as well as scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation overall. Top of bbl. exhibits a patch of dark mild to moderate oxidation. Bore is bright, exhibiting scattered spots and patches of light to mild pitting, as well as a couple of small spots of moderate pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show some mild smoothing and some superficial handling marks, but otherwise remain sound. (26-1523/MLW). CURIO. $250-350.
