^Lot 1444 POST WAR CZECH K98K MAUSER BOLT ACTION RIFLE.

Cal. 8x57 (8mm Mauser). S# 2809H. Bbl. 23 1/2" with IO Inc. import marking. Blade front sight without hood. Tangent rear sight graduated to 2000m. Bolt is mismatched but other visible parts are unnumbered. Post War (dot 1945) Czech assembled K98k with a mix of WW2 German & Czech lion marked parts. Large trigger guard. Blued finish. Laminated stock set with Ethiopian stock disc & left slide sling provisions. No cleaning rod present. CONDITION: stock set shows scattered dings, handling marks & staining. Metal retains 40% blue with front half being cleaned to bright, scattered oxidation patches some more heavy, some pitting, edge wear & handling marks. Safety not engaging but action is otherwise functional when hand cycled. Dark bore with pitting & oxidation but evident rifling. (26-1530/MJC). CURIO. $500-800.
