Cal. 6.5 Jap. S# 6922. Bbl. 19". Blade front sight with protective ears. Ladder rear sight graduated to 2000m. Matching numbers on receiver, bolt handle, firing pin, bayonet lug & safety. Floorplate & dust cover are mismatched. Receiver ring has intact mum & Type 38 markings with added white highlight. Left side of receiver has Nagoya & 5th series symbols. Blued finish. Asian hardwood stock set with two piece butt & left side sling swivels. Underside of butt has partially faded Kanji stamps. In-the-white cleaning rod present. CONDITION: stock set retains much of its Urushi finish with scattered dings, dents, handling marks & scratches. Front sight ears are a bit bent. Metal retains 60% original blue with areas turning gray possibly from old touch up, further scattered fading, handling marks, oxidation & edge wear. Action functions properly when hand cycled.
