This model was offered through the Flight Test Historical Foundation. It features the X-1 Rocket plane that was flown by Yeager, breaking Mach 1 at Muroc Air Base. Later in 1953, he flew the X-1A to break Mach 2. He was also the first pilot to test a captured Russian MIG 15. During his years at Edwards AFB, he served as Commandant of the Air Force Test Pilot School. The model is accompanied by a signed information sheet, a photograph of Yeager signing an X-1 model, a binder of internet research, plus an the enthralling book titled "Into the Unknown" by Louis Rotundo that was personally signed by Chuck Yeager.
