MILITARY CONTRACY BOLT-ACTION TARGET RIFLE. Cal. 22 LR. S# AX520654. Bbl. 28". The barrel is marked on top "HARRINGTON & RICHARDSON'S INC. / GARDENER, MASS. MADE IN USA" and "MODEL-M12 / 22 LONG RIFLE". The M12 is a high quality target rifle. It is one of the last military contract target rifles, and is the military version of their Model 5200. The receiver is marked "U.S. / serial number". Receiver is equipped with base for target sights. Base is marked "H&R". Barrel is fitted with scope blocks and has a dovetail base for target sights at the muzzle. Trigger is adjustable for weight of pull and overtravel. Heavy walnut stock. The front swivel is carried in a full length rail under the forend. Red and black buttpad is marked "H&R". CONDITION: the stock with its original finish shows very light wear with tiny scattered handling marks. Metal carries over 90% of its original blue finish with light hi-point wear.
