Lot 1104 US WWI EDDYSTONE MODEL 1917 BOLT-ACTION MILITARY
RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 504816. Bbl. 26". Barrel marked behind front sight "E / flaming bomb / 4-18". Ladder rear sight graduated to 1,600 yards. Blade front sight with protective ears. Rifle retains a large amount of its protective cosmoline from an arsenal overhaul. The bolt and other parts appear to be marked with the Eddystone "E". The bolt handle is additionally marked with the "flaming bomb" and "broad arrow". Walnut stock set. Forend tip has very faint "E". CONDITION: stock set has an arsenal rework type finish resulting in an obliteration of its markings. The metal retains at least 70% of its arsenal rework parkerized finish. Shiny bore with strong sharp lands. (26-1345/RW). CURIO. $400-600.
