RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 4091894. Bbl. 24". Barrel marked behind front sight "RA / flaming bomb / 9 43". Aperture rear sight graduated to 800 yards. Blade front sight. Replacement bolt is from Model 1903 rifle with early non-swept handle. Bolt sleeve, safety and cutoff marked "R". Very nice original finish straight grip stock set with two recoil bolts. Crisp legible markings include "RA / crossed cannons / boxed FJA". Encircled "P" proof under grip and assembly marks in-front of trigger guard tang. All stamped furniture including checkered buttplate and small bow trigger guard. WWII vintage Model 1907 sling. Markings on sling are not legible. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: nickel-plated oiler in butt. CONDITION: stock set has very light wear with scattered handling marks. Metal retains 90% of its arsenal rework parkerized finish. Buttplate and rear swivel are blued. Sling has notable flexing and cracking. Near excellent shiny two-groove bore. (26-1570/RW). CURIO. $600-1,000.
