MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 7.62 NATO. S# 834. Bbl. 24". Barrel is marked on right side with "SA 9 65 / defense acceptance eagle". Additionally marked "7.62MM". T105E1 rear sight. Blade front sight with protective ears. The National Ordnance M1 Garands were produced in the early 1960s using a newly made receiver and surplus GI parts. The receiver on this example is marked at the heel "NAT'L. ORD. INC. / S. EL MONTE, CA. / U.S. RIFLE / CAL. 30M1". National Match marked operating rod. Bolt is "SA". Trigger housing is "W.R.A.". "HR" marked hammer. Stamped trigger guard. Unmarked walnut stock set. Stock has two holes on the left side over the magazine area, likely for installation of grenade launching sight. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: chamber brush and cleaning rod sections in butt without handle. CONDITION: stock set has moderate wear and handling marks with added finish. Small crack at top rear of front handguard. Metal retains 75% of its mix of GI and factory finishes with light wear. Stacking swivel is not present. Near excellent shiny bore. (26-1613/RW).
