Lot 3413 MAIN GAUCHE OR LEFT HAND DAGGER.

A good example of main gauche dagger that is likely an early recreation of the Victorian era. The overall measurement is 15 3/4" with an 11" blade featuring a raised medial ridge and a pronounced ricasso. Iron hilt with a down turned guard and melon quillons. Globular pommel and a wire wrapped diagonally ridged grip. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a mottled patina. Hilt is solid but the grip wire is dislodged near the guard with minor losses.
