Two pair of matching heavy style with massive rowels used in Texas, Mexico in 19th century, later smaller pair popularized mid-19th century and still worn today. CONDITION: very good overall, iron patina, good silver decoration on one large pair & still has buckled leather straps. PROVENANCE: Estate collection of Compton LaBauve Jr. (02-26483-2/JS).
