Lot 3379 ASSEMBLED US PARTS FLINTLOCK PISTOL.
Cal. 54. NSN. This pistol appears to have been assembled using various US Flintlock parts. Smoothbore 8.5" bbl. with brass blade front sight, swivel ramrod & "US / JH" proof. "Millbury M / 1838" lock (Asa Waters) w/ replacement parts. Walnut stock w/ replacement backstrap that has slots for shoulder stock & replacement triggerguard. CONDITION: metal has gray patina appearance with pitting & corrosion. Wood has large piece missing in front of lock; balance of stock shows cracks & chips. Dark bore. Hammer unable to hold at full cock. (01-28855/MD). ANTIQUE. $500-800.
