DIXON COMMEMORATIVE SINGLE ACTION PERCUSSION REVOLVER WITH MATCHING FACTORY BOX. Cal. 36. S# A93752. Bbl. 7 1/2". Model 1851 Navy Mason Dixon commemorative single action percussion revolver mfg. in Italy by Armi San Marco in 1987. Top flat of the octagonal bbl. is marked "Mason Dixon Commemorative", with the bottom flat being marked "A.S.M. BLACK POWDER ONLY CAL. 36 MADE IN ITALY". Underside of frame is marked with a triad of Italian proofs and the boxed date code "AS" (1987) above the S#. Cyl. is engraved with Colt's naval engagement scene. Front grip strap appears to exhibit an extremely faint importer marking, which is illegible beneath the nickel plating. Frame, trigger guard, and rear grip strap exhibit a nickel plated finish, with the bbl., cyl., and frame screws exhibiting a blue finish. Trigger, hammer, and loading lever exhibit a case colored finish. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece plain wood grip. Brass cone pattern front sight with hammer notched rear sight. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: matching factory or importer box containing factory / importer paperwork. CONDITION: fine, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory finishes overall. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics (with cyl. removed to preserve condition). Grips are excellent. Box shows general overall exterior wear and some superficial losses to the exterior, but otherwise remains sound. (01-28792/MLW). ANTIQUE. $250-350.
