SINGLE ACTION PERCUSSION REVOLVER WITH MATCHING BOX. Cal. 44. S# 100276. Bbl. 7 15/16". New Model Army single action percussion revolver mfg. by in Italy by DGG / Armi San Paolo in 1983. Top flat of the octagonal bbl. is marked "ARMI SAN PAOLO", with the model and cal. designations marked on the left, 2 Italian proofs and "FOR BLACK POWDER ONLY MADE IN ITALY" on the right, and the encircled "DGG" logo on the underside. Right side of the frame is marked with a pair of Italian proofs, followed by a boxed Italian "AL" (1983) date code. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the trigger and hammer, which are case colored. 1-piece brass trigger guard with 2-piece plain wood grips. Blade front sight with frame notched rear sight. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: matching factory / importer box. CONDITION: near new, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory finishes, exhibiting a layer of grease overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting a thin layer of grease, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics, with a couple of drag lines on the cyl. Grips are excellent. Box shows some exterior wear from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sound. (01-28789/MLW). ANTIQUE. $250-350.
