REVOLVER. Cal. 38 S&W. S# D65158. Bbl. 3 5/16". Top break double action revolver mfg. by Iver Johnson. Standard factory markings overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered brown hard rubber owl's head grips. Fixed half-moon blade front sight with U-notch rear sight on bbl. latch. Matching numbers are present on the frame (beneath left grip panel) and on the underside of the trigger guard. CONDITION: poor, with metal components exhibiting a dark gray patina, with consistent light to mild pitting and surface oxidation present overall. Bore exhibits a consistent scattering of mild to moderate oxidation and pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show smoothing and scattered marks from handling and storage, with the left panel exhibiting a large chip at the top and a crack on the butt. (26-1500/MLW). CURIO. $100-150.
