MODEL REVOLVERS. 1) Bacon Pocket Revolver. Cal. 32 short RF. S# 119. 4" octagon bbl. with dovetail mounted blade sight. Round 6 shot cylinder iron frame with spur trigger. Square butt walnut 2pc grips. Limited production in the early 1860s due to the Rollin White patent infringement suit. CONDITION: metal has faded to gray. Grips show dent & marks with a small chip at the tor=e of the right panel. Sound action. Bore is generally bright with good rifling. 2) Bacon Removeable Trigger Guard Model. Cal. 32 short RF. S# 25. 4" octagon bbl. with dovetail mounted blade front sight. Round 6 shot cylinder. Frame has sprays of scroll engraving. Blue finish. Square butt 2pc walnut grips. Estimate production of 300, production was cut short due to Rollin White infringement. CONDITION: 3) Union Arms Co. marked swing out cylinder model. Cal. 32 short RF. S# 86. 4" octagon bbl. Top flat is marked "UNION ARMS CO. N.Y." Left flat is marked "C. W. HOPKINS / PATENTED MAY 27, 1862". Dovetailed blade sight. Round 6 shot Hopkins patent swing out cyl. Iron frame with spur trigger and scroll engraving. Square butt 2pc walnut grips. Limited production by Bacon Mfg. C. in the early 1860s. CONDITI0N: Bbl. & cyl retain over 50% lightly faded blue. Frame has faded to gray. Grips show light wear & handling marks. Sound mechanics. Bright bore with good rifling. (01-28865/DS). ALL ANTIQUE. $1,200-1,800.
