PISTOL WITH POWDER FLASK. Percussion "revolving hammer" pepperbox pistol mfg. by Robbins & Lawrence Co. The bbl. cluster is marked "ROBBINS & LAWRENCE Co.", "WINDSOR. VT", and "PATENT . 1849." in the flutes. Sides of the frame, as well as the top 3/4 of the bbl. at the breech feature scroll engraving, with foliate motifs engraved on the back and top straps of the frame, as well as on the top of the bbl. latch. Frame is mounted with 2-piece plain wood grips. Matching S# "3270" is present on the frame (butt and left side beneath grip panel), rear face of the breech, as well as the grips (interior). UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brass Robbins & Lawrence powder flask marked "ROBBINS & LAWRENCE CO/ PATENT REVOLVING HAMMER PISTOL/ WINDSOR VT". CONDITION: metal components have faded to a mottled gray patina, exhibiting scattered spots and patches of dark surface oxidation and light to mild pitting overall. Bores exhibit scattered spots and patches of oxidation and pitting. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show some superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sound. Powder flask shows some wear and superficial handling marks, with a minor dent present on the rear flat. (01-29067/MLW). ANTIQUE. $500-800.
