Lot 3038 INTERESTING ENGLISH MADE F PARRY PATENT PERCUSSION
REVOLVER. Cal. 36. NSN. This interesting rare percussion has many similarities with Colt revolvers of the era. F. Parry firearms were sold by the firm Westley Richards and were only mfg in a very limited quantity. Bbl 5.5" oct. with German silver post front sight and marked "F Parry Patentee Lencal St Birmingham". Hammer integral notch rear sight. The bbl & 6 shot cyl are Birmingham proofed. The silver plated receiver is nicely scroll engraved with a shell accented backstrap. Smooth flared walnut grips are angled as a Belgian Brevette. The hooked trigger guard is engraved with tasteful foliate scroll accents. CONDITION: overall very good. The bbl & cyl finish has faded to a dark patina with the bbl address accentuated with white filler. The silvered parts have sharp engraving with some heavy handling marks and a few gouges in the loading area. Grips are very nice as lightly refinished. Very nice bore. (01-28053/ZAL). ANTIQUE. $1,200-1,800.
