Lot 3037 SCARCE BLISS & GOODYEAR POCKET REVOLVER.
Cal. 25. S# 151. Bbl. 3". Brass post front sight. Grooved rear sight. Percussion revolver made in 1860 with only about 3000 pieces made. 6-shot cyl. Steel frame. Blued finish. Smooth hardwood grips with pencil matching numbers on the inside. CONDITION: grips have older added finish with some thin cracks, scratches & handling marks. Metal retains perhaps 30% original blue with strong traces on cyl. & ejector rod & the balance being a dull gray patina. Metal otherwise shows some dings, scattered pitting, oxidation & handling marks. Action is sluggish but functional when hand cycled. Bore has pitting along its length but good evident rifling.
