Cal. 22 S. S# 6581. Bbl. 3 1/4". Round blade front sight. Matching assembly numbers on cyl., bbl. & grip frame. Fine condition first issue S&W No. 1 6th type. Consignor states hammer screw was later replaced. Blued bbl. & cyl. Silver plated frame & grip assembly. Hardwood grip panels both with matching numbers to frame. CONDITION: grips show the expected light handling marks. Frame retains 85% of its original silver plating with light flaking & handling marks. Blued parts retains 50% original blue with scattered flaking to brown & light oxidation. Under normal handling cyl. will not rotate when hammer is cocked. With light hand pressure on face of cyl. action functions properly Bore shows scattered oxidation with worn rifling. PROVENANCE: Ex Ulm J. Maier Collection, James D.
